Edited 6 months agoSound quality is poor on this release. Pressing is the usual shitty / noisy RCA crap they dished up in the late 80s, till they stopped pressing vinyl records in mid 90s. I normally love Herbie’s mastering, but this record is really off - bloated bass and very poor definition. It may well have been the masters he worked off, but while this record was a huge hit, it hasn’t dated well - at least from a production standpoint. None of the additional mixes add anything to this release. Stick with the main mix B1.
