Notes
This release has the tip-on sleeve, St. Peter label address and large STEREO label font of Preservation Hall Jazz Band - New Orleans' Sweet Emma And Her Preservation Hall Jazz Band, but shows a larger (2 3/4") pressing ring and different matrix/runout than that pressing ("Side 1" and "Side 2" vs. "Side One" and "Side Two"). Also, while similar, the labels on the two versions are not identical -- this version uses "Arr.:" while that version uses "Arr:".
Matrix/runout and large pressing ring on this version appear to match Sweet Emma And Her Preservation Hall Jazz Band - New Orleans' Sweet Emma And Her Preservation Hall Jazz Band, but that pressing has a different label, with a smaller STEREO and different font.
Recorded on October 18, 1964, at the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre, at a concert arranged by Jass, Inc.
John Haeny, Music Masters, Minneapolis
