Totally agree with all those people who think that this edition does not sound entirely good. Immediately collapses and crumbles in the heavy parts. Of course, the splash of colours looks very cool.

Recieved a brand new copy of this and it does sound very very poor. Confusingly so. I dont know how something like this got quality approved if others sound as bad as mine. There is significant distortion and crackle behind every track.
On a positive note the packaging is beautiful and very ornate. -
Aie aie aie. Superbe album mais ce pressage ne lui rend pas du tout hommage je trouve. Aucune spatialisation, le son semble compressé, presque étouffé. Vraiment dommage.

Looks excellent, but at this point I'm convinced that the master tapes for Leviathan just... sound the way that they do. The album is a bit compressed, it doesn't sound bad by any means but there doesn't seem to be a lot in the way of dynamic range. Seems to be a running trend with reissues of the album, this was put out when digital recording was all the rage and vinyl sales were at an all time low. Would love to see a full remaster/remix of this album specifically for vinyl.

I got mine today and I'll add that my copy sounds great. Quality is on par with the recent Death reissues from Relapse as well.
