Ah yes, except for their first solo (?:!?) LP after Throbbing Gristle temporarily dismanted for 24 years, all of Chris and Cosey/CTI/Conspiracy International's output of recordings contained a quiet little disclaimer down at the bottom of the back cover of the album sleeve, next to the year and copyright statement, which usually was phrased a little something like this : "These recordings contain subliminals that may be of a harmful, subversive nature to some listeners. Discretion is advised." They consitently marketed themselves utilizing this mysterious and threatening sounding warning on all of their output up until 1987's markededly different in tone paean to Martin Denny, Don Ho and Tahitian Tiki Room lore, an unsuccessful but ambitious and fun LP called `Exotika.' Conspiracy International's first EP single "Hammer House" continues to sound radically different from most all of their other works and to this day strikes the listener as some kind of perplexing (but funky AF) dark dance music that very well could be from some unknown civilization on an alien planet. It is certainly far superior to Conspiracy International's second EP single, which consists of two incredibly inferior versions of otherwise decent songs that had already debuted on CTI's European Rendezvous Live LP just the year prior, except that the EP's studio recorded versions honestly lacked practically EVERYTING in those live performances that really added to their power and intensity and which actually MADE those previous live recording counterparts so much more memorable!

The house on the cover (23 Cranley Gardens, London) was the residence of Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen, where he murdered multiple victims. Very grim story. ITVs' 'Des' came out this year with David Tennant playing the killer. Its excellent.

Great ep from the ex TG couple. Still so advanced for these times that's how far ahead of the curve these were especially Carter. Buy anything this chap was involved with. I bet Bryn Jones had a copy of this...
