US First pressing - very good for that fantastic album - very good for a US pressing (for once…) but not as fabulous as the uk first - the apple design tough is absolutely great -
Could the following be another variant?
The copy I'm holding matches
"Matrix / Runout (Runout, B-side variant 3): SW-2-3372 Z-10. 1✲ Bell Sound 𝑠𝑓"
but the A-side is etched,
"Matrix / Runout (Runout, B-side variant 3): SW-1-3372 Z10. 1✲ Bell Sound 𝑠𝑓"
The 10 on side A almost looks more like a "D". The only other things I've seen here close to this is the white label variant, but this has both production labels and a jacket. I'm goin' with "close enough" for now. -
This is probably my one favorite album of Lennon. Unfortunately for me, I bought a used copy that is a complete mess and unbearable to listen ... I will grab another copy (at a store, not online) if I ever see it.
This is music as raw as it gets.
In of post-Beatles solo albums, this has to be among the top 5 (All Things Must being #1).
